# Foreign Exchange
Steps to create foreign exchange
### **Foreign Exchange**
This option enables foreign exchange functionality, allowing the conversion of different currencies at the property. The feature is configured and made available in accordance with applicable government regulations of the respective country.
#### **Steps for Foreign Exchange**
1. Go to Front Office >>Cashier >> Foreign exchange.
2. Select the type as guest as shown below. In-house guest or others.
3. Choose the guest from the in-house guest list.
4. After selecting the type, choose the currency, exchange note, denomination, and current no/ narration as shown below.
5. The local currency paid in exchange for the specific currency guest exchanged defines the buying rate, and enter details like the exchange rate, the exchange commission, and the currency value in local currency at the time of exchange.
6. If the guest has multiple types of currencies, use the plus button(+) on the top right corner of the currency detail table to add rows.
7. Use the trash can.png?alt=media)to delete any row from the currency detail table.
8. If the guest is an in-house guest, then the address will be automatically populated.
9. Now, click on the save button.
#### **Modification of Foreign Exchange record.**
1. Click on the open button on the toolbar
2. Select the currency record from the list to be modified.
3. Edit the record.
4. Save it.
#### **Deletion of Foreign Exchange record.**
1. Click on the view button on the toolbar
2. Select the currency record to be deleted.
3. Click on the trash can icon on the toolbar. ( Trashcan appears only when the view button is clicked)
4. Save the record.
**Note:** Modification and deletion rights remain with the administrator.
