# Where do I find the Guest Shift Rooms report

**Which reports help track the Average Length of Stay?**

To track the **Average Length of Stay (ALOS)** and related stay duration metrics, you can utilize several specific analytical and operational reports within the system:

**Primary Report: Average Length of Stay Report**

This dedicated analysis report indicates the average number of days a person remains at the property. It is a critical tool for management because it:

* **Analyzes** the effect of stay duration on revenue and tariffs.
* **Allows** segmentation by country, company, and room type to identify which guest profiles stay the longest.
* **Provides** search/filter functions to analyze nights, revenue, and ADR collectively.

**Operational Tracking and Forecasts**

* **Guest In House Report:** This report features a **"Duration of Stay"** filter, allowing you to generate a list of guests staying for a minimum specified number of days (for example, guests staying more than **X** days).
* **Package Revenue Forecast:** This forward-looking report estimates future income by analyzing several factors, including the length of stay derived from guest arrival and departure dates.
* **Arrivals Register:** When viewing expected arrivals, you can add a **"Room Night"** column to the report. This shows the total number of nights each guest is scheduled to stay before check-in.

**Related Analysis Reports**

While not exclusively for ALOS, these reports track the **Room Nights** data necessary to calculate stay averages:

* **Segment Analysis (MTD/YTD):** Displays total nights for different market segments for the current day, month, and year.
* **Room Wise Income Analysis:** Provides a report on Room Nights and ARR by room number or room type for a selected month range.
* **CMIS Report:** Analyzes total nights stayed categorized by guest nationality or country of residence, helping identify trends in stay patterns from different source markets.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.rbsgo.com/front-office-module/fo-queries1/faq-on-queries/where-do-i-find-the-guest-shift-rooms-report.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
