# How do i create and manage group reservation and check-in?

To create and manage group reservations and check-ins, you must utilize the dedicated group management features which allow for centralized billing, reporting, and streamlined guest processing.

### **Creating Group Reservations**

1. **Group Master Record:** Before creating a group reservation, a **Group Master** must be established in the system to consolidate all related reservations under a single primary record.
2. **Navigation:** Go to **Front Office >> Reservation >> Group Reservation**.
3. **Creation:** Click the **Create New Reservation** icon and enter details such as the Group name, contact, company, travel agent, and country.
4. **Linking Reservations:** After saving the group, a **Quick Reservations** pop-up will automatically appear, allowing you to immediately add and manage individual reservations (including room type, dates, and rates) associated with that group.
5. **Splitting Bookings:** You can use the **Split** button to divide the booking among all guests in the group by specifying the number of required splits.

### **Managing Group Reservations**

* **Modifying Groups:** To update group details, navigate to the **Group Search Screen**, select the specific group, and click **Open** to make changes.
* **Booker Profiles:** You can create or modify booker profiles (name, company, contact info) from the **Booker Search Screen**.
* **Room Allocation:** Use the **Auto-allocate** button to automatically assign specific rooms to all guests within the group.

### **Group Check-In Process**

The group check-in option is designed to process multiple rooms simultaneously with minimal clicks.

1. **Selection:** Navigate to the **Group Check-In** menu and search for the group by its name or reservation number.
2. **Filtering:** If you need to locate a specific individual within a large group, use the **Funnel Filter** to search by guest name.
3. **Room Assignment:**
   1. **Auto Allocation:** If rooms are not yet assigned, the **Auto Allocation** button can be used to distribute available rooms automatically.
   2. **Manual Selection:** You can also manually search for and select specific available rooms for each guest.
4. **Completion:** Use the checkboxes to select specific rooms or pax-wise check-ins, then click **Save** to check in all selected rooms at once.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.rbsgo.com/front-office-module/fo-reserv/faq-on-reservations/how-do-i-create-and-manage-group-reservation-and-check-in.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
