# Bank Reconciliation Type
The **Bank Reconciliation Type** module is used to define and manage the classification of bank reconciliation methods within the accounting system. It determines how bank transactions are matched and reconciled between the organisation's cash or bank ledger and the corresponding bank statement.
## Steps to Create a Bank Reconciliation Type
Step 1: Navigate to the **General Ledger** module.
1. Click **Masters 1** from the menu.
2. Select **Bank Reconciliation Type** from the list.
* The Bank Reconciliation Type screen will be displayed.
Step 2: Click the **Add** button.
* A new entry form will be displayed.
Step 3: Enter the required Reconciliation details such as **ID** and **Type Name.**
* Ensure the information entered is accurate.
Step 4: Click the **Save** button.
* The new Bank Reconciliation Type will be created and stored in the system.
