# Housekeeping Room Status
The **Housekeeping Room Status** option is used to update and manage the current housekeeping status of rooms in the hotel.This feature helps the housekeeping department monitor room conditions and room readiness efficiently. The updated room status is also useful for front office operations during room allocation and guest check-in.
## Steps to Update Housekeeping Room Status
Step 1: Go to the **Housekeeping Main Menu**.
1. Click on **Transaction**.
2. Select **Housekeeping Room Status**.
* The system displays the Housekeeping Room Status screen.
Step 2: Click on the **Open** button.
Step 3: Choose the required room status from the available options.
* The available statuses may vary depending on the system configuration.
Step 4: After selecting the required status, click on the **Save** button.
* Once saved successfully, the room status will be updated in the system.
