# Parent Cost Center
The **Parent Cost Center Master** is a master record within the financial or ERP system that defines a top-level cost center. It serves as the primary reference for organising and managing related sub-cost centers within the organisational hierarchy.
## Steps to Create Parent Cost Center
Step 1: Navigate to **Master** menu in the **Inventory** module.
1. Click on **Parent Cost Center**.
* The Parent Cost Center screen will be displayed.
Step 2: Click the **Add** button.
Step 3: Enter the required information.
1. Ensure that all required fields are completed accurately.
Step 4: After entering all required details, click the **Save** button.
* The Parent Cost Center will be created successfully and stored in the system.
