# How can I see top selling items?

To identify your top-selling or most popular items, you can use the Item Wise Sales report or the Popularity Analysis tool.

**1. Item Wise Sales Report**

This report lists all items sold during a selected period. It includes the net quantity, cost value, sales value, and discount value, which allows you to identify which items are the most popular.

* **Navigate to: Advance > Reports > Item Wise Sales.**
* **Filters:** Choose any additional options or filter settings you want included in the report.
* **Sorting:** Apply sorting based on your requirements (e.g., by quantity or sales value).
* **Display:** Click the display button to generate the report.

**2. Popularity Analysis**

This analysis goes beyond just sales numbers by identifying each menu item's profitability and popularity. It is designed to help you form strategies to improve the overall success of your restaurant.

* **Navigate to: Analysis > Popularity Analysis.**
* **Filters:** Choose your desired Advance Filter options.
* **Display:** Click display to view the report.

**3. Popularity Analysis – Summary**

If you prefer a more consolidated view, the summary report contains the summarized data from the main Popularity Analysis.

* **Navigate to: Analysis > Popularity Analysis – Summary** (via the Analysis menu).
* **Selection:** Select the specific outlet and the date range for filtering.
* **Optional:** You can choose to view only the summary of open items by selecting the corresponding checkbox.
* **Display:** Click the display icon to view the report.

All of these reports can be converted and saved into Excel format for further data analysis by clicking the Excel icon

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.rbsgo.com/point-of-sale/point-of-sale-module/advanced-reports/faq-on-advanced-reports/how-can-i-see-top-selling-items.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
